The 56th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg ended this weekend awarding the Main Award of Mannheim-Heidelberg and several further prizes.

„With persistence and consistency the Newcomer festival has conquered the second position after the Filmfestival Berlin“, said Dr. Michael Kötz, festival director and artistic director since 15 years, at the closing press conference in Mannheim. This position is not surprising from an international perspective as for many years the festival has been listed as one of the 40 most important film festivals worldwide. International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg is the second most important German film festival after the Berlinale. In particular the festival’s unique and consistent profile as a premieres’ festival of newcomer films has strengthend this position.....

I was involved in the set up of the film festival. yeh. Work like Kuli.
We basically set up everything u will be seeing from scratch! (From a empty grass terrace)











It took us about 2 weeks to build everything that you will be seeing.

The International Film festival took about 2 weeks time. I had lotsa memories here.!

During the festival , I was assigned to a urgent task.
Running german subtitle for international contest films.

At 1st, it was instead chaotic. Trying to set in the subtitle at the correct timing..
The whole picture was like, as if I was playing computer game.

Because of this job, I have watched more than 20 films. I must say some are good, some are beautiful , some makes you think, some challenge your senses, some reflected the truth...

Just like a paint pallet. You got a little of here and there in this wonderful filmfest.

I had an idea. I think lotsa people don't really have a chance to have a look at the cinema projector. Therefore, I took a series of pictures.
