Akim Camara - five-year-old violinist

Berlin - Mozart began at four. Akim Camara was only two, when he got his first violin lesson in the Music School of Marzahn-Hellersdorf. Today this "miracle" child is five years old and also the youngest student of the Music College of "Hanns Eisler" in center.

Birgit Thiele still can remember exactly, in May 2003 how Akim stood in front of her with his plastic violin toy. What the violin teacher has experienced, has impressed her. "Akim couldn't speak correctly yet, however he knew how to play all of the orchestral instruments. In addition it is absolutely through listening." Birgit Thiele taught this little kid twice a week and each time three-quarter hour. "With an enthusiasm Akim learned unbelievably fast." In December, this two-year one played at the Christmas concert in the Music School “Schneeflöckchen, Weißröckchen” - appearing with diapers and pacifier.

Akim's large model is André Rieu. One day, Birgit Thiele and the music head mistress wrote to the violin star a letter. He replied promptly and invited Akim to Holland. Gudrun Mueller: “Both of them played there together and later also in the "forest stage" of Berlin.”

Nevertheless Akim a cheerful, small boy, who goes to the day-care centre, and dreaming of swarming for Gummibärchen (a kind of sweet with bear shape) and elephants. Akim likes to play his violin or piano, which is the second instrument he learns, the most. Exactly the same like young Mozart at that time.

Berlin Trip

I was excited about the Love parade and Berlin ( 1st time in my life to the capital of the country and the world biggest techno / house / trance event). I was jumping around and busy organizing this coming trip.

I made it. With train ? 4 people? No way°°°!! We went there without around 22 person on a bus direct to Berlin.( Later I found out it was a shit decision) na bei°°

We sit until our butts off during the 10 hours stop-and –go trip. I never eaten so many Mc Donald burger in a day in my life!! (total 10 of them!!)

After wearing our butts off for about 10 hours..FINALLY we reached our final destination. BERLIN!!

We went direct check in and within one and a half hour , we are ready!! Ready for?

CLUBBING!!

We went to one of the Berlin biggest underground (it is really situated underground!) club.

The club is divided to country, hip hop, bar, house, dance and karaoke.

We went through all the hall and I guess everyone eventually meet up in the dance hall.

Coincidence? I guess not!!

We have a strip show here!! The performance take turn between two gender ,male n female stripper.

I can’t believe my eyes …, first I thought , ja…ugly cheap club and offered medium looking chicks. To my horror…..Gosh …where can anyone find someone who has an

angelic face who dance well and devilish figure. Too exaggerate? Please look at the video!

These goes go to male performer. You will want to find a hole n jump inside and wish never come out. He is so muscular with six packs and fit.!!

The party for us end at 4 am because there is still a whole day program for us ahead.

The Next Morning , We went to walk around the city. There are too many highlights to blog about. Let me just pointed out the most interesting one.

There was a world summer bear exhibition!!

Korea Bear

USA Bear

Japan Bear

Malaysia ugly Bear !!

After wondered around the bears, we moved on walking …walking...and walking…gosh !Berlin is instead bigger than I thought…

We manage to hiao abit while walking around the city…

At afternoon, we were supposed to go to Love parade at about 3 pm. But instead , you find us actually holding beers, vodka, and hard liquor in the supermarket!

After some pre drinking , We proceeded to our goal LOVE PARADE!

I danced till I drop (not shopping) a total of six hours!! First cramped my left leg…secondly right leg..but yet again..I survived till 12 am!!

Because of the mass and after 12 am, we have to walk all the way back to our hostel. about an hour…with THIRST, HUNGER (I can eat a cow!)

After casual fast food noodle and soda , alcohol, I went to knock on others doors!

Its Love parade after party time!!!

Yes ! We went clubbing again ! This time with a smaller crowd, about 11 of us.( the rest surrendered to tiredness)

I never fill so shiok ( suang) in my life! I seems like a boss with about 400 + euro voucher on my hands and a private VIP area (corner ) with private bar to us.

We are proud of our cultural of toasting!! The Germans opened their eyes wide wide open when they heard us chanted to Yam^^^^°^^°°°° Seng°°°°!!! with red faces.!!

Here is the Bar joke of the day 1.

I approached the bartender and plan to ordered 12 shots.

Me : zwolf tequila shots bitte! ( 12 shots please (1 extra for me))

Her : was? Zwei? (What ? two? )

Because the 12 and the 2 sound similar.

Me: Vergiss es ! Zwanzig shots bitte! (Forget it ! Give me twenty shots instead!)

Her eyes was wide open and we end up buying other people drinks.

Here is the Bar joke of the day 2

The drinks go round n round with bourbon coke n so on.

It just too boring…so we decided to ordered shots again..

This time they knew we will ordered that much of volume.

But.

The waiter told me to change drink to others!!

The reason given : Our speed of drinking is faster than the speed they wash n dry the glasses !! gosh!.

After 2 hours drinking.Again..some knock on in the club..some vomited in the club..some vomited on himself while he was sleeping…(twice!)

The next morning…the most frequent word u heard is ‘ Do you have panadol?’

We dragged our dreadful body again through the city to the German Parliament house. There was too much people ,so we gave up to enter to the hall)

Parliament House

Memorial Church (was boomed during 2nd WW)

At about early afternoon, we prepared to shit journey back to Mannheim again….

10 hours is too much for us…we some how got crazy (I admitted ..is me..only…)

The German ask me to show my dance move design to the theme song in love parade. ( We actually dance synchronized in the event!!)

Yes! I need money!! Paypal me!!

German School System

Main sources from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Germany
http://www.howtogermany.com/pages/germanschools.html
http://www.germanculture.com.ua/library/facts/bl_education.htm

Primary education:

Children in Germany start school at the age of 6, and from grades 1 through 4 attend elementary school (Grundschule), where the subjects taught are the same for all. Then, after the 4th grade, they are separated according to their academic ability and the wishes of their families, and attend one of three different kinds of schools: Hauptschule, Realschule or Gymnasium.

Grundschule teachers recommend their students to a particular school based on such things as academic achievement, self confidence and ability to work independently. However, in most states, parents have the final say as to which school their child attends following the fourth grade.

Secondary education:

The Hauptschule (grades 5-9 in most German states) teaches the same subjects as the Realschule and Gymnasium, but at a slower pace and with some vocational-oriented courses. It leads to part-time enrollment in a vocational school combined with apprenticeship training until the age of 18.

The Realschule (grades 5-10 in most states) leads to part-time vocational schools and higher vocational schools. It is now possible for students with high academic achievement at the Realschule to switch to a Gymnasium on graduation.

The Gymnasium (grades 5-13 in most states) leads to a degree called the Abitur and prepares students for university study or for a dual academic and vocational credential. The most common education tracks offered by the standard Gymnasium are classical language, modern language, and mathematics-natural science.

The Gesamtschule, or comprehensive school, is a more recent development and is only found in some of the states. It takes the place of both the Hauptschule and Realschule and arose out of the egalitarian movements in the 1960s. It enrolls students of all ability levels in the 5th through the 10th grades. Students who satisfactorily complete the Gesamtschule through the 9th grade receive the Hauptschule certificate, while those who satisfactorily complete schooling through the 10th grade receive the Realschule certificate.

Secondary vocational education:

Beyond the Hauptschule and Realschule lies the Berufsschule, combining part-time academic study and apprenticeship. The successful completion of an apprenticeship program leads to certification in a particular trade or field of work. These schools differ from the other ones mentioned in that control rests not with the local and regional school authorities, but with the federal government, industry and the trade unions.

Berufsoberschule (Upper Vocational School) is an optional part of the German education system, and is the only way to be allowed at university for students who didn't get an Abitur at a Gymnasium.

Tertiary education:

Fachhochschule or "University of Applied Sciences" were founded in the 1960s, usually by re-arranging pre-existing educational institutes, like schools of engineering, building academies or polytechnicals. The Fachhochschulen's teaching and research focus is, as the English name implies, on the practical application of science, while universities focus on scientific studies. A remaining distinction between Fachhochschulen and "real" universities is that the latter can grant Ph.D. degrees, whereas Fachhochschulen can not.

Men's Health

Men's Health conducted an international survey to find the world's healthiest men, based on five categories: nutrition, fitness, stress, health, and sex. Here's what you can learn from the winners.

Nutrition:
What went into the scores:

We looked at each country's per capita consumption of fish, vegetables, fruit, breakfast, tea, sweets, and take-out and fast food.

Comment:

In Malaysia, we got a lot of fresh seafoods, vege, fruits...drink a lot of tea (chinese tea after dinner)...and the food is nice!~~~:P

But in Germany, there are so little seafoods (expensive but not fresh)... vege and fruits are even more expensive than meat (chicken leg 2 euro per kg, at the same time eggplant/ aubergine/ brinjal, which i like to eat, is also the same price!!~~)...a lot of fast food, Döner, pizza, you can buy them even in supermarket which are frozen...

Fitness:
What went into the scores:

We crunched obesity rates, strength (from situps and pushups), time spent exercising each week, and six-pack prevalence.

Comment:

The sport facilities in germany is really good... exspecially for student, we can use the facilities for free!!!(it's under the university and quite well-equiped.)...My senior, Eric brought me to gym and all those six-pack muscular men are there!~~~

I seldom do sports in malaysia....maybe i'm the one who pull down the marks :$...normally the sport facilities cost money, beside basketball court in the playground which has many holes :P...

Stress:
What went into the scores:

We surveyed workweek hours, vacation time, happiness, commutes, spending on leisure, and whether men check work e-mail at home.

Comment:

As i know, European's working life is quite relaxing and they have a couple of long holiday for vacation...maybe because they are in developed country and high standard lifestyle....

Normal Malaysians work from day to night and seldom have holidays, exspecially for those who run their own business....have to go back to office to check e-mails and fax in public holidays...

Health:
What went into the scores:

We considered death rates for heart disease, cancer, and stroke; the prevalence of diabetes and smoking; and data on life expectancy, cholesterol, blood pressure, sleep, and alcohol.

Comment:

How come? As i know, German smokes a lot and sometimes you can see even 16-year-old girls smoking on the street....and drink a lot of alcohol (beer)....drink a little bit of alcohol is good for health though...

Sex:
What went into the scores:

We analyzed marriage rates, divorced population, sex partners and frequency, masturbation habits, number of friends, sexual satisfaction, and affairs.

Comment:

Muslims are allowed to marry 4 wives if they have the "ability"...:P maybe this makes an Asian country, Malaysia unexpected high...

62nd International Motor Show (IAA) Cars ,Frankfurt, Germany

Flower power, hemp, and space technology serve as swift guides to the future:

German Hip-Hop Artist Smudo to Present BioConcept Car at the IAA

Frankfurt am Main, September 10, 2007.

Smudo, the singer of the German hip-hop band “Die Fantastischen Vier”, will be taking part in the 62nd International Motor Show (IAA) Cars to promote clean technology. Besides being a hip-hopper, Smudo is an amateur racecar driver, which is why he will be attending the world’s largest mobility show to present his favorite vehicle, the BioConcept Car. Smudo is using the vehicle to show how driving enjoyment and responsibility can both cross the finish line in an original way.

The unique BioConcept racecar is great at accelerating and runs solely on biofuels. What’s more, researchers and developers are working on further improving its aerodynamic body, which is made of innovative organic composites. This vehicle obviously belongs at the 62nd IAA in Frankfurt, which, in line with its slogan of “See what’s driving the future”, will be displaying the whole range of ingenious and effective ideas for ensuring sustainable mobility in the future. On Thursday, September 20, Smudo will present the one-of-a-kind eco-racecar at the Four Motors racing team stand in the F3 outdoor area, across from the BioFuelBar. The presentation will begin at 2:00 p.m. At the stand, visitors will also be able to try out the new racing game Juiced2 from the BioConcept partner THQ. Smudo, whose passion for racing simulations eventually took him behind the wheel of a real racecar, is represented in the game, as is his BioConcept Car.

At first glance, the real-life BioConcept Mustang GT RTD looks like a typical muscle car. In fact, the car generates around 280 hp underneath its natural fiber hood. However, in rather untypical fashion, this performance is achieved with pure “flower power,” meaning it runs on conventional biodiesel. Smudo’s Four Motors racing team was assisted in the development of the innovative four-cylinder diesel by the Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants (UFOP). The unique natural fiber body components are based on those used for the Mustang. Production of these components was made possible through the collaboration with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and supported by the Agency of Renewable Raw Materials (FNR) with funding from the German Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture.

The result of these efforts is a competitive, environmentally sustainable racing vehicle, which is driven by Smudo in the BFGoodrich long-distance championships and the International 24h races at the Nürburgring.

Four Motors is a prominent racing team that specializes in motor sports using renewable sources of energy. Four Motors developed the BioConcept Mustang GT RTD under the direction of former DTM driver Thomas von Löwis of Menar, and is today working on using second generation biofuels.
